God answered our prayers and she is now pregnant.
God is moving in Migowi as we see people giving lots of testimonies, we praise God for his healing power.

The church has decided to build a small clinic which we intend to open on the 25Th of November 2007 during the gathering of many leaders. We would like to give all the official community leaders and government officials a glimpse of what Christians can do for their world. We want to open the eyes of the people in our community that the church has a role to play in bringing hope to our community.

Regarding the up coming conference in November we are contacting 1200 leaders and invite them to attend our conference. This family became Christians several years ago while Papa Joe was preaching in Robert Vaiphei village. They were Born again and Spirit filled. This family was originally from Napal and before becoming Christians were strong Hindus opposing the gospel and Christian teaching. But after listening to the message of God the whole family came to Christ. The mother of the family was a diabetic and a very sick patient. When Papa Joe prayed for her she was totally healed. As the family shifted to this new village near the Nagaland border they shared their testimony with the villagers and many gave their lives to Christ. They have learned to pray for the sick and our Lord honors them by healing people. This family has become a great example for the whole area as they preach and bring people to Christ in their new area. The four men that came to our office to tell this story had come to find out where our office was and discover more about the work of Papa Joe.
The harvest is great but the workers are few. The Father was seriously ill and after seven month of pain and suffering came to Imphal with his children for treatment. Being extremely poor they could not take him to the doctor or treatment. The family came from a remote village and could not speak the Manipury language. Stranded they stayed with a distant relative in an area called the games village. Minthang and I happen to be there praying for some families. When this family heard we were there they decided to bring their father also for prayer. Sone after having prayed for them they left. During the night the man had a dream, in the dream he saw an angel talking to him. The angel told him, "you have come to Imphal at the right time to meet the man of God. From now on you will receive your healing for the one who prayed for you is my annointed one, now receive this anointing from God with the oil of joy.
When the Father woke up he was perfectly healed. The family returned to their village praising God. The news of this healing spread all over the area and 35 people received Jesus Christ as this family is preaching God's word.

MALAWI CHALLENGE

River of Life Pastor Mark Zimbiri just returned from Mozambique where 43 pastors and leaders attended a meeting from the 13th to 16th of August. Mozabique had civil war from 1975 to 1992. Since that time the gradual process of rebuilding lives and families has been a slow. In many places the occult religions are blinding the people to the trues of Jesus Christ. It is now free to worship and our hope is that many un-reached tribes will be reached for Jesus Christ through our work.

Mark said, "I used this time to speak to the leaders to attend the River of Life conference in Malawi from November 27th to 2 December 2007. There seemed to be a great hunger for the leaders to attend the conference.

In Malawi is a village called Migowi close to the Mozambique border. This is where Mark lives and has a church. Our plans for this area is to build an orphanage on land we can purchase from tribal chiefs. The cost of this land is $8000 US but up to now we have not been able to settle this payment. I keep trusting our Lord to provide for this land, it is a faith journey. On the 19th of August the chiefs called a meeting to ask us if we still wanted to buy the land. We told the chiefs that it was at the appointed time God would release the funds and then we would purchase the land. In the mean time we informed them to keep using the land for their crops. They all asked if we could give a deposit of $2000US.

Prayer point for Malawi are:

1 Land purchase

2 Financial increase for Pastor Marks family.

3 $700US for the conference arrangments.

4 Monthly rental for our office $35.

Please pray, and if you can our brothers and sisters in Africa do not hesitate to call us.

New Frontiers in North East India

Expanding and creating new frontiers bring challenges that always surpass know areas in ministry. A team comprising of four adventurous brothers left Imphal the capital of Manipur to go to Gawahati in the State of Assam. Their purpose, to reach all the North Eastern States with the gospel. The neighboring country to these Indian States is Bhutan. Bhutan is a small country with a population of 2,327,849 ruled by a king. The King is the most powerful and is the final authority in the land. Buddhism is the religion in this region.

The team stayed in Gawahati for four days reaching out to un-reached people and Christian church leaders. About one hundred people listened as we shared the gospel. We felt it was time to split into two groups to reach un-reached areas with the gospel in these Northern States. One team left for Arunchal Pradesh while the other team left for rural areas of Assam.

During the weeks of this ministry journey, the second team visited 18 remote villages and preached to about 500 people, out of these 74 received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
The first team returned after 10 days from Arunachal Pradesh, they had visited 14 villages and spoke to over 700 people out of which 102 people gave their lives to Jesus.

Excited and together again the whole team left for Northern Assam. Here we visited 8 very large villages Minthang shared, where over one thousand people had the opportunity to listen to God's words. There was much opposition from gangs of youth who beat up our young evangelists. Threatening words were a constant but in spite of all this we kept preaching and sharing the word of God boldly. The result was that other villagers asked us to come to their village as well, and about 100 people gave their lives to Christ.

After three days we decided to split up again to cover more areas. Two hundred miles North of Gawahati we had some Christian friends and with their help we were able to reach many un-reached tribal people with the gospel. These people live in extreme primitive conditions. Each day 50 to 80 people came to listen to the word of God. During this time we discovered a Christian family from Mizoram, who are doing missionary work amongst these people. This couple was extremely happy and thankful to see us as we helped then in their ministry. Together we worked to bring people to Christ each day.

There is a small medical centre which is the only clinic for this whole area hundreds of miles around were people come for help. In this clinic we were able to set up a room for ministry to the sick. Each day we prayed for people and ministered the word of God. As people heard the word of God and were healed more people came as the word went out. For many it was the first time to hear about the good news of the gospel. During this time out of 130 people we ministered to 98 gave their lives to Christ.

It has become evident that we need to send a missionary to this remote outpost. A young couple has volunteered to go there, we need to find support for them. Altogether during this outreach 400 people were saved.

It is not easy to minister in these remote areas, we have willing families from our bible college to go a live amongst these primitive people but they need your help. If God stirs you to be part in this frontier mission field do not hesitate to call us.

River of Life Journey to Africa

From Melbourne to Perth, from Perth to Johannesburg and on to Blantyre in Malawi Central Africa, our journey started. From there car transport for another two hours to Zomba the past British Governors mansion, here we had a meal, then travelled on towards the Mozambique border to a small place called Magowi. This was our destination. Anne and I were invited to be guest speakers at a Church Ablaze Conference. Very tired and exhausted after five hours travel by car we arrived just after dark.

To our surprise it is a place with the second highest mountain in Africa. The scenery is picturesque, the roads are dirt roads and in many places nearly impassable. Our vehicle a sedan was not build for these roads as we slipped often from side to side on muddy trails. This being our first journey to Africa we had no idea where we were going. We had never met Pastor Mark Zimbiry who picked us up at the airport, we recognised by a sign that simply said Schneider.

Before we left Melbourne we had asked Mark about the weather and he said it was cold at night.
Well, not realizing that it might be cold for the black people of Africa, for Anne and I we were very hot. Just at the end of the monsoon season it was muggy and warm. We stayed in a guest house very primitive. We had a room with a double bed and a mosquito net stretched over it.
The bathroom was also primitive with a pipe coming out of the wall with refreshing cold water which suited me but not Anne. At lease we had a western toilet praise God. Every day we had breakfast which was cucumber and tomatoes and two fried eggs and bread. other meals were rice, potatoes and vegetables. Anne and I enjoyed the simple life style except for the mosquitoes.

In this part of Africa transport is mainly by bicycle or walking on foot. The nearest hospital is 50 miles from Magowi. We passed sick people who were carried on the back of a flat steel tray build on the back of a bicycle, this was their ambulance. They had to travel 50 miles to reach the hospital. For us these conditions are UN-imaginable but in this place it is a common sight. Aids is rampant throughout central Africa. The extreme poverty makes room for this disease to spread. Wives are shackles to be used by men and often beaten into submission. Girls marry as young as thirteen and most live no longer then 40 and might reach 50. The population is mainly young people under the age of twenty years of age. Hundreds of children learn to fend for themselves because their parents have died from aids.

Anne and I were touched as we learned about the condition of these people. There is no infrastructure to help them out of their predicament. We know the only answer for these people is a relationship with Jesus Christ. We preached for five days the hope of Jesus. Many people were delivered and set free as they came forward to give their lives to Jesus Christ. After the conference I baptised many in a local river after a two mile walk there and back.

Pastor Mark asked, "What qualification do I need to become part of the River of Life organization so that we can receive more teaching". I had watched Mark carefully in the time we spend together. I have come to the conclusion that he is an exemplary pastor as he leads and respects his people. I told him that by his example God has already Qualified him.
His qualification is, "Called by God", he learned English by putting together two bibles, one in English the other in his language and comparing notes he learned English. Mark is a true example of a man dedicated to bring Christ to his people.

River of Life has taken to heart this part of Central Africa. Our hope is to build a place of refuge for orphans where they can learn skills and receive education. Pastor Mark has started 16 churches that will receive help from River of Life World Evangelization Inc.

I know that when our Lord shows River of Life something, like what we have experienced in Malawi, I know we need to do something. So River of Life invites all friends to become part to restoring God's kingdom on earth in Malawi Africa.

New Frontier for Reaching the Unreached

Greetings from your family and church members here in Imphal.

On the 18th November, we were in Moljang village located at the remote foot hills in Churachandpur district. About 500 people live in that village. We talked to the villagers and requested them to let us preach. With permission from the villagers, we preached and about 200 people listened to the Gospel. They were very encouraged by the word of God. Forty-five people gave their lives to Christ.

We prayed for many sick people and God touched and healed many diseases. One man who was suffering from T.B. with severe chest pain was healed instantly. Praise God for all His wonderful work in the many hidden people.

On Sunday at 6:30am at Koirenggei we had fellowship amongst the Hindu people and 49 people listened to the word of God. At 10:30am we had a normal regular church service at our bible college. At 3:30pm, we organized a service with different groups of people at Canchipur, which is about 12 kilometers from our home. I preached again and about 126 people listened to the word of God. For many of them, it was the first time in their life that they had heard about God’s love. God touched their hearts and 21 people accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord. In the evening, we had our normal regular church service at our bible college where I preached to the people and to our students.

On the 20th November, we began the second semester examination of our bible college students in the midst of a strong general strike and curfew for the whole state of Manipur. There were no vehicles driving on the road, all the roads were deserted and all the shops had their shutters down. We only just managed to arrive at our College by bicycle. It was very dangerous and many vehicles were damaged during this general strike. Several people were killed. Please keep praying for us as we move around in the midst of great danger. We hope the general strike will be lifted tomorrow so that we can have a normal schedule again.

We are planning to branch out our ministry to the North Eastern States of India, amongst the hidden people in these regions. We are planning to set up a centre for reaching the unreached in the whole North East region.

Some of our friends who are already there invited us to start this new frontier mission. They told us that our organization, River of Life World Evangelization and Vaiphei Christian Church, could reach many unreached areas with the Gospel. I am planning to go and pioneer the work of evangelization. Please pray and consider this seriously. We may set up a new centre in Guwahati which is the capital city of Assam. From there, we can easily reach out to the whole North East region. When you are here in January we can discuss this more and also try to go there.

We plan to leave Imphal, Manipur, for this Frontier mission on the 4th Decemeber, 2006. Our plan is to reach the seven different states of the North East interior with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Since there are many interior areas in these regions where the Gospel has never been preached, we want to see that hundreds of souls are saved during this journey throughout the North Eastern States of India. For this task, we desperately need your prayer as we will be encountering many difficulties. Let us pray that many thousands of lost souls will be reached with the gospel of Christ during our tour to these North Eastern states.

The River of Life Bible College students will finish their exams on the 29th November. On the 30th November, we will be having a New Life conference to encourage our students in the ministry. We plan to arrive back home from our North East frontier tour on the 20th December.

On the 18th November, when we were in Churachandpur, we met a woman who said that she got healed from her sickness through Papa Joe’s prayers. She told me that she was having an ear drum problem, and had been deaf for about 3 years. But when Papa Joe prayed for her at the Crusade she was healed.

She also told me that a boy from her village came who was dumb, he could not speak. They were from a very remote interior village, but came for the crusade as they needed physical healing. The boy who could not speak for 7 years can now speak through sister Suzette's prayer. He has started going to school after 7 years. He is very happy. His parents had taken him to many doctors but ended with no remedy. After Sister Suzette prayed for him he is now able to speak. They praise God.

One lame boy who was half paralysed came from about 29 kilometers away from Churachandpur. He got healed through Papa Joe's prayer. The boy was brought in to the Crusade at Churachandpur, but they could not bring him to you because so many people wanted to be prayed for. But the mother of the boy came to Papa Joe, with a man from her village who can do a little interpretation. The mother said that when Papa prayed for her son who was standing in the distance, Papa did not see the boy, but she had a great faith that if Papa prayed for her boy that he would be healed. Papa Joe did pray for the boy. When the mother got back to the boy he asked her, "mother, did you ask Papa to pray for me?" The mother said yes. Then the boy said, "I will be healed because I felt something." They went back home and in the next two days the boy got completely healed. They praised God. Now the boy says he always prays for Papa Joe’s ministry. He got what he needed most in the world which is his spiritual life and physical health. Because of Papa Joe, he has a personal relationship with God which will last forever and he got his physical healing through Papa Joe’s prayers, for which the doctors could not do anything.

We pray that our Loving Father will always shower His wonderful blessing upon you, your family and ROLWE & VCC.

We don’t know where the money for the trip to the North East will be coming from, but we trust God to provide.

Your missionary brother,
Minthang Suantak.

Jesus Heals as the People Rejoice

Greetings from your family and church members here in Imphal.

I arrived home last night from P. Thianzawl Youth Conference. Today Lolly’s father had another operation so we are all busy in the hospital.

The Youth Conference/Seminar was great, many youths from different villages attended.

Many other people from the nearby villages came for the seminars. We were a bit tired as we preached day and night. About 64 people got saved during the conference.

There were four men from Sagolmang village who came and met me at the Youth Conference. These four men told me that during our Crusade at Imphal they were in Imphal looking after one very seriously sick man in the hospital. The sick person they were looking after was suffering from a lung problem. He was very sick and weak. The doctor told them to go home as they could not do much since the sickness was too chronic and no medicine could help him. Therefore, he was discharged from the hospital. They knew that there was the Festival of Hope and Peace crusade in Imphal so the sick man urged that he should be brought to the crusade. Since he was so weak they did not want to bring him, but he was persistent and at last they brought him. They said that on that night, Papa Joe was teaching songs to the audience, “Rejoice in the Lord” and they all learned the song. The sick man was so interested that he, too, learned. They were all amazed as to how this person who was so very weak could learn with so much enthusiasm, forgetting all his sickness. One of his friends asked him (the sick man) "do you want us to take you back? You are too weak," but the sick man replied, "NO! No, I am enjoying the angels singing together with me." Then a very strange thing happened. It seemed he could move more freely. After the message of sister Suzette, Papa Joe came down to the people and when he prayed for him, the man got healed.

Soon after Papa Joe prayed for him, his friends said, "now lets go," but the man said "no I’m enjoying this. I’m staying here." Again, he felt touched in his body. However, they forced him and took him by the hand and went back home.

At night, he said that he felt strong and the pain in his body had gone. The next day, his friends took him home in a bus. They arrived at 6pm in their village. Some of the villagers came and met them at the bus station. Then that night the man had a dream. In the dream, Papa Joe again prayed for him and while Papa Joe was praying for him, he saw a light from above and immediately he got up and there was absolutely no pain in his body. He is now completely healed and he does not take any medicine now. He is totally free from all sickness. He then gave his life to Christ and is now eagerly waiting to meet Papa Joe when he comes back to Manipur.

Last night, as soon as I arrived home, I received a phone call from Churachandpur. A woman told me that she had been waiting for me to come to Churachandpur so that she could give a report. Since I had not gone there, she phoned me. The woman told me that she had been suffering from liver problems. Her liver had swollen and she could not eat food. Her eyes had become yellow and she even sometimes vomited blood. She was extremely weak and very thin. She went to the doctor and the doctor prescribed her medicines, but she could not afford to buy it because it was too expensive. She was a very poor woman. She was only waiting to give up her last breath. Her poor husband and children could not help her. By God’s grace she came to our crusade in Churachandpur, with the help of her husband and children. The woman said to me, “when Papa Joe laid his hand on me and prayed for me, I believed I would surely be healed." But she did not immediately feel anything.

However, she had great hope and faith that she would be healed. She has known about Papa Joe for many years, and about his work in Manipur. That night, she was taken home by her dear husband and children. Then, at night, she felt something in her heart telling her, "You are healed." Immediately, she woke up and then woke her whole family. They sat together, thanking God for His healing power.

The next day morning, she woke up with a cheerful heart and sound health. Now she doesn't have to buy any medicine as she is healed by the blood of Jesus through Papa Joe’s prayer. The woman's name is Mrs Khumi. Last week she went to the hospital and told the other patients that if they really wanted to get healed from their sickness, the only way is Jesus. She told the patients and doctors in the hospital that she was healed by the blood of Jesus and through the prayer of Papa Joe. She said Papa Joe's ministry in Manipur is a rescue operation for all the poor and needy people in Manipur. It is Papa Joe, being used by Jesus, who helps thousands upon thousands of poor, hungry and needy people in Manipur. Manipur needs Papa Joe. Then the woman told me on the phone that they will always pray for Papa Joe, his family and his ministry. She said that she also prays for sister Suzette.

Tomorrow the State is having a great festival, a Christian festival, with all our government ministers and high officials, including our governor who will be participating in this festival. People from all corners will be participating and the state announced a holiday in view of this Christian festival. They have asked me to open this festival with a word of prayer. I was selected by the many high officials to grace this festival with a word of prayer.

We always keep praying for you. We also never forget to pray for your trip to the United States.

The building construction is continuing and we bought the steel pipe for the roof of the Diplomat Centre. We still need money for the roof and for finishing the first floor. We also need timber planks to make the first floor doors.

We love you Papa, and we keep praying for you. We are looking forward to hearing from you and seeing you in January. Bless you papa.

Your missionary brother,
Minthang Suantak.

Testimonies of God Spread Rapidly Through Manipur

Greetings from your family and church members here in Imphal.

It is with joy that we write this email to you. Everything is going very well here and the college is running smoothly and our ministry in church planting and rural evangelism is going very well.

This morning, a pastor from Churachandpur came to us and told us that the Festival of Hope and Peace Crusade in Churachandpur and Imphal had a great impact to the whole state of Manipur. Many thousands of people accepted Jesus Christ in Churachandpur alone, and many hundreds of people were healed from different sicknesses. He kept telling us that our Crusade impressed thousands of Hindu people. Now, after the Crusade, it is easier to preach the gospel to the Hindus, because the crusade has become a forerunner and pioneer to many unreached tribes.

Earlier, the Hindu people strongly opposed the preaching of the Gospel. But after watching the Crusade on the television, and coming personally to the Crusade venue, they are now very much impressed with the word of God. Therefore, after our crusade, it has been much easier to witness to the Hindu people.

Last night, we visited a woman from Churachandpur in Imphal Hospital. The woman is the wife of one of our Crusade board members from Churachandpur. She had extreme pain in her head and the doctor said she needed an emergency operation. While we were in the hospital, a couple came to us and asked me whether I am Minthang Suantak? I immediately said, "yes, I am." Then the husband asked me, "where is Papa Joe?" I said, "in Australia." Then I asked him how he knew Papa Joe. The man asked me why did we not know this man of God who loves Manipur and cares for Manipur like his own family? We knew Papa Joe very much and we know his love for Manipur. He kept telling us that they wanted to meet Papa Joe so I told them that Papa will be here in January. Then I asked them where they are from. They were not tribal but Meitei so with great enthusiasm I asked them if they were Christians, they told me honestly that they are not yet Christians, but they were impressed with the love and work Papa Joe is doing in Manipur. They told me that they know many living testimonies about Papa Joe’s ministry from many years, from many people including people nearby his village.

The woman (wife) told me that this year one woman nearby her village, who was seriously sick in the hospital, was healed after Papa Joe’s prayer. The doctor lost hope and could not do anything for this woman, but after the prayer of Papa Joe, the women was healed. The woman said that this testimony has influenced many of her people in her area. Her husband is so positive about the work of God, through this testimony and also the many more testimonies which he has heard about Papa Joe. Now her husband is very close with the Gospel. After listening to his wife I immediately preached to this couple. They were so enthusiastic. We sat down in the corner of the hospital and both of them gave their lives to Christ.

Then I tried to find out who this particular woman was that you prayed for in the hospital. Then we knew, it was the woman that you prayed for in the hospital in September when one young lady came and persistently requested that you pray at the hospital after the Crusade. The couple told me that this testimony of the woman being healed has spread all over our area and many were greatly amazed as they saw the work of God practically.

When I was talking with this couple, many more Meitei people came to us and they listened to my sharing. Many of those Meitei people knew you (Papa Joe) very well. Many of them talked about you with joy. One particular gentlemen told me that though they are not Christians as yet, no one can tell about our future, we cannot say that we will not become Christians. If people keep seeing good things from the work it will be easy to influence people. In a couple of years we will have thousands of people who will follow the Lord. The man told me that many people (in terms of thousands) in his area are very much influenced by Papa Joe's ministry in Manipur. He told me that he fully believed that Papa Joe will draw many people into the Kingdom of God in the future. This particular gentlemen was also very interesting but he only had a few minutes. His friend pulled him out of the group that had gathered.

Today our bible college students and our boys worked in the new campus of our bible college, putting up fencing and cleaning. From today our youth will meet at P. Thianzawl village for a Youth Conference/Seminar till Monday. I will be joining them tomorrow and will be back on Monday. We expect 90 youths at this seminar. Please pray for this youth seminar. Khaiboi may leave this afternoon for the youth conference.

May the good Lord continue to bless you all, this is our earnest prayer for you all. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Bless you Papa. Shalom.

Your missionary brother,
Minthang Suantak.

Miraculous Healings in Churachandpur

Greetings from your family and church members here in Imphal. We trust that everything is going fine with you and that you had a safe and merciful journey back home.

Yesterday we had a good time with our bible college students. Today we had another board meeting and tomorrow I am having a workers' meeting as many of our workers, pastors, evangelists and teachers will come to our office for a committee meeting and for prayers.

As I told you on the 5th October, we went to Churachandpur to visit several of our churches and also to meet different people who shared with us their reports and testimonies of our crusade. By evening, we were trying to return back home, however after 20 minutes driving, our car broke down and we had to push the car to the road side. After several minutes of trying to repair our car by ourselves we could not work it out. Then with the help of another car we pulled our car back to a workshop in Churachandpur. We spent one more night in Churachandpur but then the next morning the workshop in Churachnadpur could not fix it either so we hired another truck to pull the car back to Imphal.

However, we had a wonderful time in Churachandpur as we shared with people who had wonderful testimonies of healings and were saved by attending our Crusades. We also had a follow up program with the help of several of our friends in Churachandpur and we met many people who got healed and saved during the Crusade.

As I told you over the phone, the woman who was severely sick in the hospital whom you prayed for was healed the same night through your prayers and after two days she was discharged from the hospital.

There was also a young girl who came to our office who invited you so earnestly to come and pray for her sick aunty. The same girl contacted us again by telephone to let us know the good news, however since we were not at home at the time she contacted us, Mr. Thang took the telephone call and she spoke to him.

The next day, while I was in Churachandpur, she contacted me over my mobile phone and was really happy about the healing through Papa Joe's prayer. She was crying in the telephone because of her great joy. She told me that if Papa Joe had not come and prayed for her Aunty, by this time she would be in a critical condition because of her sickness. Since they are so poor they could not buy all the medicines the doctors wanted them to buy, but now because of Papa Joe’s prayers she doesn't have to take medicines and they don’t have to buy costly medicines. She is absolutely healed by the prayers of Papa Joe. Her Aunty is now starting to eat food and regains her strength slowly. By the time Papa Joe comes back again to Manipur she will be strong enough to travel to Imphal and meet Papa Joe personally. She is not only healed physically but her soul also got saved through Papa Joe’s prayers. They were very happy. Praise God! Praise God!

One woman who was suffering from half paralysis was also healed through your prayer. The woman came to us last night and told us that she came to the crusade and there were many people but, fortunately, she got a seat in the third row. She rejoiced as she listened to the message from our sister Suzette and after the message she was very eager for prayer and she approached you, Papa Joe. She told me that since Papa Joe is very much known to us all, I just approached him and told him my problem. Because of the thousands of people he (Papa Joe) could not listen to me carefully, but I just asked him to pray for me. Papa Joe just layed his hand upon my head and prayed for me. Then I heard a sound like thunder and I just turned around and Papa Joe left me. I strongly believed that I was healed through Papa Joe’s prayer. When I wanted to go home I proceeded towards the main gate exit and I felt something on my body and my feet and arms was getting tighter and stronger. Then I shouted, praise God! Praise God! As I left the main gate exit, I knew that I was healed, I was so happy. I thought I would go back to Papa Joe and share my testimony, but because there were so many people leaving the stadium, I could not get to Papa Joe. By the time I got out from the crowded Stadium, the bus with the team and Papa Joe had left, I just saw the bus leave from a distance. I returned back home with joy. On my way back home, I sang songs with joy and tears were dropping out from my eyes. It was the last night of the Crusade. This lady was just a nominal Christian but now after she was healed from your prayers, she gave her life to Christ and now she is a very happy woman. She told us that she is moving to Mizoram and when she is in Mizoram she will share her testimony to many of the Mizo Christians. She believed that through her testimony many of her friends and relatives in Mizoram will come to the saving grace of our Lord.

In Churachandpur, hundreds were healed and hundreds got saved through the Crusades. Now many of the Christian leaders in Churachandpur, from different denominations, have felt the importance of the infilling of the Holy Spirit for leaders and for believers. Once these Christian leaders in Churachandpur district did not accept healing and the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, but now that they have seen hundreds of people healed from different sicknesses and the baptism of the Holy Spirit through our crusade, they have changed their hearts.

One hindu man who had kidney problems and had been on his sick bed for one and a half years watched the crusade by television. He was healed by watching the television through the prayer of sister Suzette. He gave his life to Christ and his sickness is absolutely gone. The man is now able to get up from his bed and walk and eat food. He and his family are so happy. The man said we praise God for sister Suzette and her team who came to Manipur to rescue the people of Manipur from our horrible situation. It is because of sister Suzette and her team that I was healed from my sickness and got saved from my sin by the blood of Jesus Christ.

One lady came to us this morning who had a severe case of piles for many years but could not be healed by doctors. She is from a very poor family and could not buy any medicines. She always came to the crusade every night and sat in the first row. Her pile problem was so severe that she was passing a lot of blood. Her body was going down and she had lost weight. Sometimes she could not walk. But she was healed through sister Suzette’s prayers on the last night of our Crusade. She came to us with tears of joy yesterday before we went to church. She told us that she now does not have to worry about getting medicine because God healed her. She told us that, “God knew that I am such poor women and could not buy medicine and I was healed by His stripes." She is a Hmar woman married to a Hindu man. You will meet her when you come here. Now, because of her healing, her Hindu husband has accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour.

A women and three men rang me up this morning and told me that they were healed from their sickness through the prayers of the team. They did not know who prayed for them but they are sure that it was the team members who prayed for them and they got healed. They could not classify whether the team was from Australia, Germany or Ukraine but they knew that it was our team members who prayed for them iwhen they were healed.

We love you Papa, and we keep praying for you always.

Bless you Papa.

Your missionary brother,
Minthang Suantak.

Healings and Salvations Follow Crusades

Greetings from your family and church members here in Imphal.

It is with joy that we write this email. We trust that you are in the best of health and that the Lord is continuing to bless all your services.

Soon after our two crusades in Manipur, we are still keeping busy in our ministries as there is lots of work to do. Yesterday I preached at Manipur Rifle (Police) battalion and also unveiled a stone that was erected by the youth department for the remembrance of their ministry.

We are receiving lots of reports from the crusades each day. We hear from people by telephone and when they come to our office personally to inform us about the wonderful miracles that have happened in their lives from the crusade.

Yesterday morning, five men came to us to inform us of their testimonies. These five people told us that they did not come to the crusade, but every night they watched it on television. Three of these men had been suffering from T.B for the last three years. They had had lung infections and could not breathe normally. According to their confession, they said that when sister Suzette told them to put their hands on the pain in their body, they placed their hands on their chests and as sister Suzette prayed for them, they got an instant healing. Their sickness is now fully gone, they have no sickness now in their bodies. They praised God for His wonderful healing power. Not only did He heal their sickness, He also healed their souls as the next night, they gave their lives to Christ. They followed sister Suzette's prayers of repentance and forgiveness through the television. The two men who came along with these three men told us that they had been in a gang and had lived arrogant, violent lives. By watching sister Suzette’s preaching through television they, too, gave their lives to God and accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord.

One man rang the office and told me on the telephone that although he is not a Christian, he was touched by sister Suzette’s preaching. He told me that Manipur desperately needed sister Suzette. The man on the telephone told me that unfortunately he is not a Christian but by listening to sister Suzette’s preaching, he cannot say he will not become a Christian as he was so impressed by sister Suzette’s message. From the beginning of the crusade until the last day, the man had watched all the sermons on television and even now, he is still very happy and encouraged through our beloved sister Suzette’s messages and the sacrifice of the team from different countries for the sake of Manipur. He said that the thousands upon thousands of people like him desperately need sister Suzette and the team to lead and guide us all in the right direction.

Another man who was not a Christian rang the office and told me that his father had been seriously sick and they had consulted many doctors for the recovery of their beloved father. But all their efforts had been in vain. They had lost all their faith and trust in any gods. They had spent all their money for the treatment of their father, but with no signs of improvement. They had used up all their money and ended with nothing. They were so desperate and worried, but could not help. Their father was suffering from many sicknesses including a chronic stomach ulcer, dysentery, and many more deadly sicknesses, including T.B. Then someone told them to watch sister Suzette’s preaching through the television, as they could not afford to travel to the crusade in person. The whole family watched the second night of the crusade. They did what sister Suzette told the people to do, and after Sister Suzette’s prayer their father told the whole family, "I feel as if sister Suzette came and touched my sickness and something has happened over my whole body." They all went to bed and early in the morning the father woke up all the family and told them that last night he saw sister Suzette in a dream. In the dream, sister Suzette came inside their house and laid her hand upon the old father and prayed in Jesus' name and the old man got healed from all his sicknesses, praise God! Now the whole family, once non-Christians, have become a wonderful spirit-filled Christian family because after their father was healed from his sickness through sister Suzette’s prayers on the last night of the Crusade, the whole family accepted Christ through television. The man told me over the phone that there are thousands of families like them, who have lost their faith because of their sickness and poverty. For all these thousands upon thousands of desperate families in Manipur, our beloved Sister Suzette and the team from Australia, Ukraine and Germany are the need of the hour for Manipur.

Before I forget, let me say this- while typing this email, our brother Zammang brought a man into my office who said that his brothers and sisters were healed through the prayers of sister Suzette as they were watching on television.

Last night, three men came to our office and asked us "when are Sister Suzette, Papa Joe and the team coming back to Manipur?" I told them that we didn't know. The three men asked us to please email Sister Suzette and Papa Joe and the team from Australia, Ukraine and Germany to convey our greetings because we need them to change our whole state, Manipur. Even though we don't belong to a Christian community, we trust what Sister Suzette and the team preached and all her sermons impressed our hearts. We strongly believe that she (Suzette) and Papa Joe and the team are the right people to change our trouble-torn state, Manipur.

We keep praying for you with fasting, and there are hundreds of people praying for your ministry. Tomorrow I will be going to Churachandpur as there are many reports from the people in Churachandpur and they have asked me to visit to collect them. When I come back from Churachandpur I will give you many more reports.

I am now going out for an outreach ministry and our teams are waiting for me at my office door.

Please try to bring as many teams as you can, we keep praying for all your works.

May the good Lord continue to bless you, this is our earnest prayer.

Looking forward to hearing from you and seeing you again soon.

Your missionary brother,
Minthang Suantak

Churachandpur & Imphal: Campaign Begins

Greetings from your family and church members here in Imphal.

It is with joy that I am writing this email to you.

We have been in a very difficult situation for the past several weeks while we organized the two crusades in Churachandpur and Imphal. We have been opposed and hindered by many religious leaders in Churachandpur district. Even up to today they have been opposing us and they will continue to oppose us,but we will get through this.

In the beginning, when we started organizing things at Churachandpur, I was hoping that since there are many Christian organizations in Churachandpur, all those Christian churches and organizations would give us their maximum co-operation in organizing this crusade so that it would be a great successI had hoped that they would be so excited and would fully extend their help. However, to our great surprise when we started organizing for the crusade, many Christians started opposing us from many angles. Since there are absolutely no good hotels for the team to stay in in Churachandpur, we approached the one particular group to give us their Guest rooms for our team. At first they agreed with our request to rent us their guest room, and everything was going well and we were very happy to have guest rooms for our team from Australia, Germany and Russia. After a verbal agreement to hire their guest room, they told us to write an official application letter, which we did officially, and we submitted our application for the guest rooms. We were assured that we would be given the guest room rent free. We were very happy for this approval. Then, after a week, we got a letter from them, stating that they had withdrawn their approval and could no longer allow our team to stay in their guest room. Many of our members were so sad to hear this and I too was very upset. When we asked them for the reason it was so simple and funny, they told us that it has to do with doctrine. Then we approached another person who was excited and supportive of our crusade. He is also a leade, but unfortunately from the same church. He was very happy to offer his home for the team to stay in and, with his permission, we started building a western toilet in his house for the team. Again, after a week, the Baptist church warned him not to entertain us, therefore after spending a few thousand rupees, we stopped again. Then many Christian leaders who supported us morally and physically from the beginning, started withdrawing themselves because of the many Christian religious leaders.

Humanly speaking, it is really hard and painful but with God’s grace we keep persisting even in times of strong opposition from our Christian brothers. We never give up but keep pushing forward so that we will see a breakthrough. The opposition from the enemy is still very strong, as I keep saying life is too cheap here in Manipur. I urge you all to please keep praying for my safety. I am not afraid about life but to overcome all the strong opposition to our ministry and arrangements, I desperately need your prayers. With many tears and prayers we are now overcoming all the opposition and hindrances from the enemy. We know that our enemy is strong but we have a BIG WONDERFUL God who reigns over the whole world.

It is hard, really hard, as the opposition is very strong but we are stronger than the enemy. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

Now for the Churachandpur crusade, we have a beautiful school campus for the night crusade where we will build a beautiful platform. We also have a beautiful hall for the seminars during the day. A beautiful guest room is reserved for all the team where all the team members can enjoy their short stay. Despite the strong opposition we faced, there are hundreds of people who cannot wait for the crusade.

Since we have confirmed all the venues for the Crusade, Seminars and the guest rooms, we have now started inviting people to come and be blessed during the crusade. We have invited every individual to come for this unique crusade in Churachandpur through the media, T.V., wall posters, banners, and through letters to all the churches, and door to door invitations in order to rekindle Christian principles, belief and faith with the theme of the “Festival of Hope and Peace,” wherein we hope and trust that the Almighty shall shower His immense blessings through the message/preaching of His talented chosen sister Suzette and Papa Joe Schneider, and the team from Australia, Germany and Russia.

We, the committee constituted for the aforesaid “Festival of Hope and Peace” Crusade, extended our hearty greetings to all the people of Manipur and beseeched them to participate in the Crusade, so as to be blessed in a myriad of forms, physical, mental and spiritual and to be mystified in Christ, the Supreme Saviour.

We love you Papa, and we keep praying for you. Thanks for the funds you sent us today. Tomorrow I am having another Crusade members meeting.

May the good Lord continue to bless you.

Looking forward to hearing from you and seeing you on the 17th September.

Your missionary brother,
Minthang Suantak.

Crusade Plans Underway Despite Persecution

Greetings from your family and church members here in Imphal.

I had a meeting with different church leaders in Churachandpur on the 19th August 2006 (Saturday),for the Crusade in September. I was surprised with the response from many Christian denominational leaders in Churachandpur, as many Christian leaders some funny ideas. Most of the church leaders were very tight with their own men made doctrines and dogmas, which signifies their lack of spiritual understanding. Therefore, many of the church leaders in Churachandpur directly or indirectly oppose the organization of the crusade in September, one way or another. As you are aware, many church leaders need firstly to receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Only then can they be a part of the ministry. We need to pray for all these religious leaders that they become spiritual leaders.

One good man told me that the team can stay in his house, paying house rent at the cost of Rs, 2000 per night for two flats. Two flats means a double storey building which can easily accommodate all the team from Germany, Australia and Russia, including our bible college students.

Tomorrow I will again be going to Churachandpur for another round of talks. It is very hard to organize things in Churachandpur as many different denominational churches raised many unnecessary question with the objective to oppose us in our vision. But with God’s help we will get through this no matter what the people do to us, we will surely break through the walls of disunity. Churachandpur needs Jesus and we will go ahead with our program.

Regarding the venue of the crusade, first it was our plan to use the public soccer ground, but now with the present rainy season it seems impossible to organize the event at the public ground. The public soccer ground has no grass on the field and there are hundreds of very large potholes full of mud and water. There is no place for people to sit down.

Not only that, but Churachandpur district has been a place of murdering, killing one another every day and every night with the routine of gun battle between two rival groups of terrorists who fire guns at public gatherings. We have now changed the venue to a better community hall with a vast playground in front. Tomorrow I will go again to inspect the venue.

Last night the Indian army killed several people in a church while people were worshiping in the church. The people killed by the Indian army were members of a Baptist church in Churachandpur. This is terrible. We need to pray for our state. Furthermore, because of this tragic unwanted incident the people of Churachandpur imposed a general strike and I am not able to go today, however tomorrow God willing I will go and have another meeting with several church leaders. I will also inspect the venue for the crusade.

We need atleast Rs, 1,700,000 (Seventeen lakhs) which is $51,000 AUD, for the two Crusades in Churachandpur and Imphal. We have calculated this at the lowest (minimum) calculation with the board members of the Festival of Hope and Peace Crusade. It may be more than this so let us pray hard to raise this amount.

We keep praying for you and for mummy. May the good Lord continue to bless you papa.

We love you and we cannot wait to meet you all. Bless you Papa.

Your missionary brother,
Minthang Suantak

Unity Needed on Independence Day

Greetings from your family and church members here in Imphal.

We always pray to God our loving Father for your physical health.

Today is our country's Independence day, however, we could not enjoy it and celebrate as many different terrorists boycotted our country's Independence Day. No one dares to go out therefore every one is staying indoors.

However, I went out just to visit a bereaved family. I went and prayed for family and also preached a comforting messages from the word of God.

Our state is upside down compared with the other states of our country; it is the terrorists who make our state like hell. But we hope that one day Peace and normalcy will reign in our state, when the majority of our state's population receives Jesus Christ as their Lord. For this cause we work very hard to tell the love story of our Lord to the nation. We have a great story to tell to the nation, a story of love and peace. Dear Papa, together we can surely change our nation with the love of God.

On the 12th August, we had another meeting with Churachandpur District Christian goodwill council for the Crusade. It is very unfortunate to have Christian leaders who have very narrow minds. I think it is because of a lack of understanding of the true scriptures and a lack of spiritual understanding. Many so called Christian leaders oppose us in many ways, from doctrine to many things. They are like Christian leaders without Christ. Many Christian leaders in Churachandpur told me directly that they only work with certain denominational doctrines, not with the Pentecostal movement. The offer of accomodation in the mission Guest room has been withdrawn again as we are from a Pentecostal background. They feel they cannot offer their guest room to us. Therefore, I have no choice left but to look for different accommodation. Out of my frustration, one man told us to rent his room for a price. I will look at his house on this coming 19th August in Churachandpur. Since I have had to frequently visit Churachandpur for the crusade I have invested a huge amount of money now.

We will be having a concrete talk with all the church leaders in Churachandpur again on the 19th August for our Crusade. As I told you, we hosted the leaders for the Crusade on the 12th August, and provided lunch since they came from different areas. After doing that and paying all the wages to our pastors and school teachers, we did not have much money left. We were not able to pay the bible college teachers' wages, and the room rent, but we bought food for the bible college. Therefore, we need another $500 AUD for the bible college teachers' wages and for room rent and for the Crusade organizing expenses. We have had to invest a lot of money to organize the crusade as we have gone to Churachandpur several times and we have also gone to many places in Imphal to visit churches and different leaders. It has cost us a lot of money for fuel and other expenses. Even now we do not have money to go to Churachandpur for another meeting on the 19th August as we are very tight in our finances. We are too limited and things are very hard now. But we trust God to provide all our needs.

Our church is trying to save money as much as we can because August to September every year in Manipur is the most difficult time for the people as there is no food or money. Therefore, our church tries to buy at least one tonne of rice to be distributed to the poor and hungry people. These hundreds of people are the poorest of the poor. They have no food and live with an empty stomach. They just cry for food. This year the situation compelled us to do something again as it is hard to see these poor and hungry people who are crying for food. Therefore, we have started working very hard to get money for rice for the poor people. We are trying to buy rice so that we can distribute it in the first week of September but we still don’t know how many bags of rice we can afford.

Please let us know if we are going to have a seminar in the day time during our Crusade because we need to book some bigger churches which can accommodate the hundreds of people that will come for the seminar. Since construction of the Diplomat Centre is on hold until further funds are available, we cannot have it here as there are no proper toilets for the people and no proper rooms or seating yet.

Regarding the bible printing work, on the 19th August I will be meeting the members again and I will let you know what happens. We continue to emphasise the urgent need for immediately completing the printing. We will pursue the matter with them until they give us the finished bibles.

The choir uniforms for our bible college students have all been bought and the students were very happy.

Everyone is very eager for your arrival and we all cannot wait for your safe arrival here at Imphal airport. It seems that our state is always heading from bad to worse. We have also had very sad news that one of our church members at P.Thianzawl village (Happy Valley) died. Because of our heavy workload and busy schedules, even during the general strike, I am staying back at our office as there is a lot of paperwork to be done in our ministry for the upcoming two crusades in Churachandpur and Imphal. Khaiboi Vaiphei and our pastor in Imphal went to P.Thianzawl village for the funeral service. Because of the strict strike I told them to be very careful and to drive the car a different way where they would be diverted from the road. We prayed and sent them and by God’s protection they arrived back safely after the funeral. Khaiboi is now again in our office to do some official paperwork. It is now 5:30pm.

Our ministry is getting stronger each day, as we always work hard to keep this organization a strong one that is functioning smoothly for the glory of God. We pray that in the future every tribe, language group and nation in India will come and seek our help and guidance, so that we can lead and guide people to the knowledge of truth and light. Let our Diplomat Centre be a place where people find peace. Let every tribe and language group find the salvation of Christ through VCC & ROLWE and the peace of God. Let VCC & ROLWE always lead people to Christ. Let VCC & ROLWE become the bridge of Hope for every nation, tribe and language. This is our prayer.

Our team and church members keep visiting hospitals and keep praying for the sick. Last weekend some of our church members visited hospitals and prayed for the many sick people there and many people got healed in the hospital through the prayers of our team.

Second report from the field 1st of August 2006:

Greetings from your family and church members here in Imphal.

We are pressing the Bible Society to urgently print the 10,000 bibles we paid for. They are in great demand for our people. We are asking them to complete the printing very soon. Their response is very slow, but we persist as we want the bibles to be printed and given out immediately. However, we are powerless to do anything else at this stage, but we will keep reminding them until they finish the printing. We hope to get the bibles soon. Please tell our beloved brothers who have donated funds for the bible printing that we will never cease to pursue the matter with the bible printers until we get our bibles printed. We thank them from our hearts for their generous gifts and as soon as we get the bibles, we will inform them.

Tomorrow, early in the morning, I will be going again to Churachandpur to visit several churches and to have a meeting with several church leaders for more talks about the Crusade. There are many things to be organized so it takes many meetings and many discussions. Please keep praying for the organization of the crusades and for our personal safety. You are aware of the situation in Manipur, that life is very dangerous. We only find our security in Christ. Please keep praying for us.

Today, early in the morning at 4am, a terrible thing happened. Calvin Cottage (The women and her daughter Sim) is located just opposite the Diplomatic Centre, only five feet from our gate. A bomb exploded in the early morning and caused great fear in our locality. All their water tanks on the roof were blown away, and all their glass windows were shattered into pieces. It was terrible- like a nightmare for us. It caused great fear amongst the people. Many trembled with great fear.

Fortunately by God’s grace and His protection no one was injured. God protected us and He will continue to guide and protect us and give us security in Christ. The family of the house owner are all well and did not get injured, praise God. After several calls, the police eventually arrived after one hour.

We really need your prayers for our protection. Please keep praying for us as our state is always heading towards the worst condition. We are always living with fear as the conditions are so dangerous.

There is another general strike today, this time it was imposed by the Kuki people. They burned car tyres in the middle of the road and blocked the road with broken glass.

We love you dear Papa, and we always praying for you all. Please give our love and regards to our Mummy Vaiphei.

Your missionary brother,
Minthang Suantak

Talks Continue as Crusade Momentum Builds

We have had two funeral services last weekend, it was really hard as our church members grieved over their family. The first funeral was on the 4th July at Phowaibi village and the second on the following day on the 5th July, here at Imphal. We can only comfort the bereaved family with the word of God. As we keenly prayed for them, we trust they will find peace and solace in the word of God.

On the 2nd July, we went to S.Kawtlian for one day service. It was wonderful as I preached there. On the 7th, we went to Phoisanphai area about 19 kilometers from Churachandpur town in a remote village. The villages are being dominated by muslims and several hindus so it was really hard to present the gospel for the first time. The whole morning session on the 7th July was meant only for counseling the hindus and, of course, some muslims too. By God’s grace in the afternoon many were so touched that about 29 people received Jesus Christ as their Lord during our afternoon preaching program. We praise God for these new believers.

On the 8th July, we went to Churachandpur district with some of our bible college students as part of our outreach ministry. We met with many church leaders and also social and philanthropic leaders of Churachandpur district. Together we discussed our upcoming crusade in September.

We (VCC) arranged a small tea party for all the leaders in Churachandpur district on the 7th July where I talked about the upcoming crusade and asked them to give us maximum co-operation for the crusade.
In other news, we recently had a wonderful time with our students. After our morning worship service in the church we had a beautiful celebration for the new crops. Lolly and my children went to Churachandpur to buy some fruit including cucumbers, passion fruit, pineapple etc. In addition to that we also bought some fruit here in Imphal and ate it with our students in the college as we wanted to give good fruit to our bible college students as a new crops celebration. We had a wonderful time with our students, praising God for all His blessings.

Next Saturday we will be going again to Churachandpur for another round of talks for the Crusade. Please keep praying for us as we need lots of wisdom and understanding. Unfortunately this time in Churachandpur there are untold problems in the district with the sound of gun shots every night. The different groups of terrorists keep fighting each other. Let us pray that all this trouble will not disturb our crusade but instead will bring these crooked people to God. Let this crusade be a great instrument for God to bring thousands of lost souls into God’s kingdom.

Your missionary brother,
Minthang Suantak

Students' Evangelistic Zeal

It is with joy that we write this report of our two students who have been to many hidden and isolated villages to reach and preach to the nation with the Word of God.

Our two students, Mr Th Minthang and Mr Lempu Vaiphei, were able to cover 13 villages in 11 days because of the sound health and strength that our loving God has given to them. They were able to cover two villages sometimes in one day.

Being the rainy season it is understood that much of the time that they walked through the jungle on a small jungle track to reach a particular village they were under a heavy rain. Leeches, worms and many biting insects were spread all over their bodies and were hanging around on their clothes, shirt and pants and also inside their bags. Having nothing to protect themselves from all these biting insects they had problems and got sick from the insects' bites. However they praise God for every situation, having a great burden to reach the nation with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Mr Lempu Vaiphei said with joy that the problems they faced can not be compared with the abundant grace of our Lord upon us.

They were able to reach about 2000 people and about 102 people got saved and 87 people that had had different sicknesses were confirmed healed from their prayers.

In some villages they did not get food so they just spent the night in the cold and rain without food but they had a great time with the Lord in prayer. They were physically hungry with their stomachs being empty but their spirits were filled with Joy, said the wonderful and faithful duo. Since many villages they covered were not Christian they were not warmly welcomed in many places, but they started sharing the love of God to the people and the need of salvation for mankind. Mr. Lempu said when they fasted consecutively for three meals, only with water in their stomach, it was very hard to keep sharing as they were fainting and nearly collapsed but God in His great mercy had provided them with some small jungle fruit which Lempu found when he went out to the nearby jungle. With the jungle fruit on the tree they ate and that gave them strength to preach before they were given more food.

In one particular very remote village a man in his sixties, who was sick for nearly seven months on his sick bed with no proper food and absolutely no medicine, shared about his utmost hardship and the untold pain and problems he had gone through because of his sickness and the poverty stricken condition in which he lived. The man in his severely bad condition had said that he preferred to die than to live because if he died he would never have this trouble again, but our student told him that if you die now in your condition you will be proceeding towards the worst in hell, therefore you need to receive Jesus Christ who will lead you to a perfect life. Your physical body and spiritual life will always have peace if you believe in Christ. The man accepted Jesus Christ and he requested them to pray for his sickness and after they prayed for him he was absolutely healed. Praise God, now the man is full of joy and peace.

Let us keep remembering those people who have heard and received Jesus Christ through the faithful witness of our two students in these most isolated villages so that one day, they (the jungle people) may come up to share their living testimonies to other hidden people.

Your missionary brother,
Minthang Suantak

Heavy Rains Cannot Stop Us

Greetings from your family and church members here in Imphal. On the 10th June, we had some wonderful reports from our workers in the harvest fields.

Our evangelist, Mr Goukhomang, and some of our evangelistic team went to the Tuilaphai area which is about 45km from Churachandpur towards the Mizoram border.

They were able to evangelize about 13 villages in one week. They kept moving fast from one village to another village walking sometimes all day to get to the next village.

According to Mr Goukhomang our evangelist they did not bring any food with them, however, wherever they went people gave them something to eat. People in villages were so generous even though not many of them are believers. In some villages people offered them bananas and wild fruits for them to eat so they lived on whatever they received for food.

Staying in the most isolated and interior villages, they came across many unwanted incidents; however they kept moving with strong faith trusting God to protect them and to provide for their daily necessity.

Evangelist Goukhomang estimated about 270 hidden people were reached for the gospel during their one week long evangelistic ministry. They also prayed for about 59 people who were severely sick. They spent time on their knees praying at their dying sick beds.

Evangelist Goukhomang told us that he trusted God’s wonderful miracles to heal those people on their sick bed, as he could not go back and see what happened with them afterwards, due to the distances from one village to another. These people lived with their severe pain for a year long without having one tablets of medicine, since the villages are too far from the town and they live below poverty line.

Goukhomang told us that they comforted the people with the word of God.

He (Evangelist Goukhomang) kept telling us that on their next visit it would be wonderful if he and our team can go with some medicine for those poor and neglected people. Our church board is now thinking of arranging something for them.

Pastor Kakam with several of the youth team went to Tengnoupal area which is 70km from Pallel on the eastern side of Manipur. They were able to reach 4 villages altogether and about 100 people heard the word of God and 19 people received Jesus Christ as their Lord.

Yesterday I (Minthang Suantak) and our friends went to hospital to pray for the sick. We directly went to a man who had severe pain in his abdomen. We stretched out our hands towards this man and when we prayed for him he was instantly healed and he also received Jesus Christ. A seriously sick women was admitted to the hospital as there was something wrong, she was crying bitterly, struggling hard because of her constant pain. After we prayed for her she felt that she was absolutely healed and was willing to leave the hospital before she was medically examined and treated, but we told her just to wait until the doctor comes and checks her thoroughly.

Our student Th Minthang Vaiphei and Lempu will be again going to several rural areas as they really have a burden to reach the hidden people, so we gave them one week's permission to go. They were so thrilled they could not wait for the time to go and do evangelism work. They will resume their classes after one week and all of us are interested to know the results of their faithful ministry when they arrive here, then we will inform you immediately.

One man came to us last night and told us that he had jaundice and was very sick; the doctor could not help him and he was in trouble. He was staying with his relative in Imphal, at the national games village. One night we visited the family and they invited you (Papa Joe) specially to pray for the whole family. You prayed for him, and since then his condition became better and improved each day and now he is absolutely cured. I did not recognize this man but he knew us well and he knew you (Papa Joe). He was very happy.

Mr Zammang our Development Officer had left for Chandel district with some of our workers on the evening of Saturday 10th June, as a part of their tour program visiting our churches in the district. He was scheduled to come back today and to write a report to you. However due to a ban (transport strike) he is not able to come today. He may be here tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

Khaiboi and all our lecturers of our Bible College were very busy checking all the answer sheets of the students and also teaching in the classes. Sometimes the heavy rains disturb our normal classes as the rain can blow inside our classroom. But we just adapt to any situation. The kitchen is the biggest problem as, whenever we have rain, the cooks cannot cook the food because there is no proper wall and no doors. Many times the students eat very late in the evening for dinner and late in the afternoon for lunch.

Our evangelist Thangtinmang is leading the Joe-Anne action choir to several villages as a gospel tour and they will return next week. Let us pray that they reach many lost people.

Next week many of our workers will be again be scattering to many rural areas for evangelism and let us always hope and pray for them constantly that they may always reap lost souls into the Kingdom of God. The harvest is truly plentiful but the workers are few….. Let us pray that God will continually use us to always be His great instruments in harvesting lost souls into His kingdom.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Your missionary brother
Minthang Suantak

Bible College Students Bearing Fruit

Dear friends in the ministry, greetings from Joseph H Schneider. It gives me great pleasure to send you regular updates from the mission field. For the first time our Bible College students were sent out to evangelise in teams. They returned this week with outstanding reports of their adventures in Christ.

Each month we supply the students with food and accommodation. They study and eventually become full time workers in our ministry. The cost to keep the Bible College each month is $1500 Australian Dollars. It is by faith that Joe, Anne and supporters supply this need.

However we want to give you the opportunity to take part and be blessed in building your future inheritance. To be a partner in building God’s kingdom takes responsibility and faith.

Here are reports from our student teams that went out to evangelise.

Our students who went out for rural evangelism, have come back safe and sound. They shared wonderful testimonies from their harvesting fields. All together they were able to cover about
33 villages preaching the gospel to hundreds of people.

Mr. Napoleon our student said that while he and his team were sharing the word of God to the Hindu people, several Hindu people at Kakwa village told him to pray for the sick and if they get healed they will than believe in Jesus Christ. They (the Hindu) people brought some sick people and when Napoleon prayed for them they were healed. Praise God that people start to see the wonderful miracles of God in their lives.

Minthang Vaiphei, another of our students, went to Thingkeu village which is close to Mizoram border and he shared the wonderful word of God with the tribal hidden people. According to Minthang Vaiphei around 120 people received Jesus Christ as their Lord. Minthang Vaiphei was able to visit 10 different interior villages mostly in the isolated jungle of the Manipur and Mizoram border.

Lempu, who is one of the team leaders, told us that they were able to visit 11 interior villages close to Thangjing hills, and were able to preach to about 270 people and by God’s grace about 29 people gave their lives to God and about 15 people got healed through their prayers.

Mr. Thangin who went to Myanmar border came back yesterday (Wednesday) in the afternoon. According to Mr. Thangin he was really happy to see many lives saved and a great difference in the lives of people. Thangin in his report told us that before he studied the bible he was one of the worst boys in his area, but now after he has come to our Bible College his live has absolutely changed, not only him but he also changed the lives of hundreds of people in the Myanmar border. Thangin told us that many people who knew him before he came to our Bible College were amazed, as he is now fully converted and has become a strong instrument of God. Thangin told us that he follows the principles and strong faith of Papa Joe. Mr. Thangin said Papa Joe’s strong faith and principles have taught him so much in his spiritual life.

Several of our boy students are practising music preparing themselves for the upcoming crusade in September 2006.

Several of our workers have again left for a rural evangelism. They will be here on the 10th, we will have many more reports on the that day from the harvest fields, and we will give you all the updates.

Our College principal’s health condition is now better and we expect that he can continue his teaching next week. Thanks for the funds for wages and the Bible College you transferred yesterday. Please try to raise some more funds as we need steel framed windows, glass and timber for the doors of our Diplomatic Centre.

Yesterday there was a combing operation in our Newlambulane area as the police department got information that there was terrorist movement in the area. They arrested several terrorists. Please keep praying that VCC & ROLWE will become an important instrument of God to bring peace and harmony in our trouble torn state Manipur.

We always pray for our board members of VCC & ROLWE in Australia.

Yesterday I was called to take Lolly’s father to the doctor as he was bleeding internally after an operation. He was in great pain, so immediately we took him to the hospital and now he is re-admitted again in the hospital after being discharged three days ago. His condition is now stable and he will be recover very soon.

Dear Papa, we love you and we always keep praying for you.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Your missionary brother
Minthang Suantak.

Preaching, Healing & Opposition Continues

Greetings from your family and church members here in Imphal. We had a wonderful time on Sunday, having a beautiful dinner with all our students, faculties, board, well-wishers and visitors. Our students shared their spiritual experiences and biblical knowledge.

Our workers that went to the Myanmar border arrived back today. It was great experiences for every one of them, it was very hard as they travelled many miles on jungle tracks by foot over the high mountain tops in heavy rain. Leeches, worms, and many biting insects were endured on their journey. However every one of them never forgets the truth that they are serving God to the best of their abilities, therefore they encouraged one another even in times of untold hardship on their journey. They were warmly welcomed by a few villagers on their arrival at the village, and even though absolutely tired they immediately started sharing God’s love as soon as they saw the helpless poor villagers. They were staying in the same village during their four days visit at the border. But every day they reached out to other neighbouring villages preaching and sharing the word of God. They also had a time with our school children. According to pastor S.Kakam it was a great experience for him and he was happy to see the villagers were greatly encouraged by the wonderful word of God the team was preaching. The team members were greatly impressed to see the response of the villagers to the word of God.

Today me and several of our workers visited hospital and prayed for about 37 sick people. Three men who suffered from typhoid got healed and two boys suffering from fever got healed. We shared the word of God to the nurses on duty. We also gave some financial help to three very poor people to undergo surgical operations, from a very far and remote village.

Regarding the land for the Bible College. We have been three times to the place you like, however there is no possibility of these people selling the land to us. We narrated many wonderful stories about our work, but they just did not want to listen to us. We also told about the girl that was possessed and delivered. They said if some people got healed through your prayers and if they are happy, that’s up to them, it is not our concern, this has nothing to do with us, was their reply. We also came across some local people who said, even if the land owner is willing to sell, they will not stop their opposition, and they will never stop fighting against your work here they said.

With much prayers we have done our best, we also feel that we are doing good things and that we will keep doing wonderful things, but from the beginning itself we don’t want any quarrels. Even this morning when we proceeded again some young men closely watched us and asked why we there there. "Have you again come to inquire about the land?" We tried to convince them but they don’t listen to us. Since there is already communal tension between Meitei (Hindu) and tribal people, we feel that it might not be a secure place since the local Meitei (Hindus) are opposing us from buying the land. From our knowledge about the land, it is not only the land owner who opposed us but he is well influenced and fully convinced by the local mob not to sell it to us. They even served deadly threatening words not to sell to us. Let us change to some other suitable place that will be free from all this trouble.

Our church members and all our bible college students keep praying for you and the team in Australia, we love you all. May the good Lord continue to bless in all your services.

Your missionary brother
Minthang Suantak

New Fellowship Centre in Happy Valley

Greetings from your family and church members here in Imphal.

This weekend we praise God that we have many works and engagement in the ministry as we keep moving around Manipur preaching the word of God. Mostly in the day time we are always in the fields for rural evangelism and by the time when we return home it is after 10pm. After this time it is difficult to email you as we don’t want to put the generator on as it will wake all our neighbors. There is only about 3 hours everyday when we have power. It is very sad.

When we were having a worship together with all our Bible College students, we were told that one of our church members in P. Thianzawl village had died, so some of our staff rushed to P. Thianzawl village and I did the funeral, and after the burial we had a short time of saying words of comfort than proceeded back to our Bible College where we had our evening service.

The next day Monday on the 20th March, we went to Happy Valley village for the inauguration of a new fellowship center as the new believers want to come under our Association, VCC & ROLWE, as they were the fruit of our works. Our workers keep preaching in this areas. We do not have a church building yet, but we will have a big church in the future as we grow in numbers. Since our workers are pressed into service in these areas we trust that we will always have new believers and that the new fellowship center will help and promote the missionary work in this area.

Yesterday on the 21st March, we went to H.K.Phai for a one day Crusade. We arrived in the village at 9am in the morning and I started preaching and went till 4pm in the afternoon. About 120 people listened the word of God. It was a wonderful time we had. We arrived back home at 7pm at night.

This morning we went looking for some land for our Bible College. We found some areas and the prices are different according to the location of the land. We found some so when you come you can do the selection. The average prices are Rs 70 per feet square, Rs 120 per feet square, Rs 80 per feet square, Rs 200 per feet square.

Bless you.
Your missionary brother
Minthang Suantak.

Turning Terrorists into Kingdom Warriors

Greetings from your family and church members here in Imphal.

Thanks so much for the funds you transferred for the food of our students. Yesterday being a very large Hindu festival holiday, all the shops were closed, therefore we were not able to buy the food. However today we bought all the food; rice, potatoes, vegetables, oils etc, and dropped them at the college. I taught in the class for a few hours, in the evening we had a worship meeting and we only arrived back home just now. It is now 10pm at night.

Today Mr. Khaiboi Vaiphei, Mr. Tamreingam our lecturer and I, all taught in the class. We are confident our Bible College ministry is wonderful. We rest assured that many of our students will bear wonderful fruit in the future. After ten years of our Bible College ministry, we will be able to produced hundreds of talented and dedicated missionaries for our country. In ten years time, if we continue this Bible College ministry, we may be able to send out hundreds of missionaries to every nook and corner of our nation. Therefore we rest assured that we will achieve lots for the Kingdom of God.

Please kindly keep praying for all our desperate needs, since moving to a rented house there are many things needed. We need a big room for a kitchen and dining room for our students, so we are planning to construct simple rooms, since the house owner is not in a position to build it, we need to do it ourselves. For this kitchen and dining room we need about 27 pieces of tin sheets for the roof. Please pray that we have the needed funds.

The girls' dormitory has a beautiful gate and beautiful fencing. On the entrance gate of the girls' dormitory we wrote a sign board which reads RIVER OF LIFE BIBLE COLLEGE, which looks very beautiful. The boys' dormitory is about 200 meters away from girls' dormitory. The boys' dormitory did not have a proper fence, so I told the house owner to immediately make a fence for the boys' dormitory. However, the house owner told me that he could not make the fence as he did not have money. But he told us we can make it for ourselves which we can deduct from our monthly rent. For a bamboo fence it will cost us around 3000 rupees.

Please keep praying for us as our lives are always in danger. Manipur is the worst state among all the states in India. Because of the terrorist problems, everyday people kill one another. Almost all the youngsters in Manipur want to become a terrorist and kill people with the guns they have. However, our objective is to train the national youth in the bible and prepare them for future ministry. We want to train them to become armies of God.

Please keep praying for our safety. We know that our lives are always in the hands of God, but we need to pray for one another. Our state Manipur is always heading towards the worst condition. Life is always very insecure. But we are in God's care.

All the beams and staircase of our Diplomatic Centre are completed. We are now looking for the completion of the slab and the second floor finishing, and for this we need lots of funds. Let us pray that we have the funds and finish the construction very soon.

We love you, and we always pray for you. Some of our students are sick, so please remember them in your prayers.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon, and to seeing you in April 2006.
Your missionary brother
Minthang Suantak.

Churches in Hindu Areas Packed Full

Greetings from your family and church members here in Imphal.

We just arrived from our bible college and we had a good fellowship with the family of the Board and our students. It is now 12:30, just after midnight. I am in my office trying to send this email, as I was not able to send any report for a few days due to Internet line failure.

It is with joy that we write this email, as we just returned from a Pastoral Conference at Ukhrul Town in Ukhrul district in Manipur. About 1500 pastors and evangelists came for the Conference. Our topics that we taught to the pastors and evangelists during our seminar was (1) Baptist Distinctive and (2) Church Mission.

It was with great success that we concluded the Conference. It was a whole five day conference, every night we had an evangelistic crusade where about 2000 to 3000 people listened the word of God, I was the only main speaker since the other pastor who will be my assistant speaker did not come for the conference due to his family trouble. We rest assured that our conference will have a great impact to the lives of hundreds of our Christian leaders and it will bear good fruit in the future.

I am very happy that I was able to teach on the infilling and anointing of the Holy Spirit to these Baptist churches who always fought for doctrinal barriers. You and I were always concerned about the Baptist background as they always opposed the things of the Holy Spirit. However, in these last days, because of your great efforts, we are now able to teach the work of the Holy Spirit to all these Baptist churches.

We arrived home on the 7th March 2006 in the evening after the Crusade. I was trying to email you immediately soon after we arrived in our office, however due to the telephone line problem our Internet was not operating therefore I could only email you tonight. Not only a telephone line problem but we also had a big problem with a frequent power cut off. However, we praise God that after several tries we were able to email you tonight.

On the 8th March 2006, we moved our Bible College to another suitable place, as the house we rented for our bible college was not so convenient. The house owner always created problems for our students, therefore we have moved out now to another better place. The new building is not so good but there is no one staying at the same rented house with our students. The house owner has fully rented it out to us for our students. We now have a very good time teaching, worshipping, praying etc, without problems from other people. At the first rented house there were other families staying in the same building. Those families told us not to sing songs and pray as they don’t want to hear songs and prayers. They always gave us trouble, therefore we moved out for a better environment and atmosphere.

On the 10th March 2006, being the prayer day for all our staff and pastors, evangelists and workers, all our workers had arrived here and we had a wonderful time of a prayer meeting where we all prayed for you all consistently. On that day we also gave our workers wages with the funds you transferred to us.

Today Sunday the 12th March 2006, I was preaching at Lanthonching Baptist Church and also gave ordination to the Lanthonching Baptist Church pastor and deacons, and taught them on the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The Lanthonching Baptist church members were about 900 people. It was a really good service. In the evening I preached at our Bible College. On the 17th March 2006, I will again be preaching at a one day Crusade in the East District of Manipur, about 47 kilometers from here. On the 20th March 2006 we have a big program at Saikul where we will be opening a new church fellowship in one village, the new church fellowship will begin in a home, since we still do not have a church building.

Beginning from January 2006, I am still very tied up with all the programs, since by God’s grace this year our ministry is enlarging as a result of our Crusade in January. Our Festival of Hope and Peace crusade in January 2006 had a wonderful impact on the lives of our nation, therefore we harvest lost souls everywhere in Manipur. As a result of our Crusade in January 2006 many different churches amongst the Hindu areas were packed full as people are thirsty to know the truth of the gospel and the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ more and more.

Tomorrow we will be having a Board meeting at our Bible college. We trust that our students after completing their one year course they will be a great instrument of God in bringing the nation into the Kingdom of God.

As our country is in big trouble with all the terrorist problems, particularly our state Manipur, almost every youngster is indulging in sinful activities and the terrorists have become a great enemy for the common people. Therefore we plan to enrol all the youth for the ministry as much as we can so that we can shun the youth from joining the terrorists. Our aim is to train the youth for the ministry to become the armies of God, and not to become terrorists. Therefore a Bible College is the need of the hour for our state Manipur. Please keep praying for our Bible College ministry as we need lots of help to build this nation into a better position.

Our Diplomatic Centre building construction is in progress, we plan to complete it very soon, please keep praying for us as we need to complete very soon.

Mr. Zammang is going to Sugunu today with some of our workers to visit several of our churches in that area. They will be coming back on Monday. Then next week Mr. Zammang, Mr. Ngamsei and Pastor Lunminthang Baite will be going to the Myanmar border to visit our churches and schools on the borders.

On the 10th March, pastor Khamtinthang came for our workers meeting and shared to all our workers that three persons at S.Kawtlian Church were healed completely through your (Papa Joe) prayers. They were not from S.Kawtlian but came from a different village. They did not know before the healing power of God. But after you (Papa Joe) had prayed for them they were absolutely healed from all their different sickness, the three people who got healed and their villagers were greatly amazed because of what the Lord has done for them through Papa Joe. They said Papa Joe has special anointing of God which God gave him personally. They all Praise God for their healing.

May the good Lord continue to bless you in all your services is our prayers always.

Bless you heaps.
Your missionary brother
Minthang Suantak.
N.B. Papa we are now running out of funds and there is no rice and curries for the Bible College students, please try to send us some funds when ever you can.

Company & Land in Myanmar

I am greeting you in Jesus name.

Firstly, we have previously discussed that the address of our Company would be in Yangon, but we have problem because no one can use their home for our Company. After that I went to agent of Company registration officer and to discuss. The officer was a good man. He advises me "don't worry about the address of the Company, there is no problem, anywhere is fine." When I heard this I said "Praise the Lord, thank you Holy Spirit in Jesus name." God prepares for us anytime, anywhere, anyway.

His advice for the name of the company is that we are not to use national races, political names or religious names. Therefore our company name had to be changed because the authorities do not allow establishment of company name containing national races. "Asho" is a national races name. So we have changed the name from "Asho Community Development Company" to "Myanmar Joe Phyu Co.Ltd." The meaning is Myanmar white dove. The A.C.D.C selected board understands this situation. The name of the board is not changed because the company will be under the board.

U Ba Hla is working with us together for the establishment of this Company, but he is not at this moment a director of the Company, because he is already Managing Director of Myanmar Family Development Co. Ltd. After the company is formed, with the board of directors meeting, U Ba Hla can come in as a director.

The land we bought in Thayet is already in our possession. We are working on the land already and got the power of authority to change the name of the land. We want to build a compound during the summer. Now we have onion plantations and vegetable plantations. We are selling the chickens and have settled the debt but have not yet reached settlement for chicken food. We really need funds for the chickens and compound.

I hope you can send the needed funds to establish this company very soon. Remember me and say hi to your family.

With love and best wishes. Today we had several pastors visit our office and tell us that since the crusade their church memberships are increasing from Hindu converts. We keep doing the follow up program to their places wherever we can. Khaiboi and Zammang went to Churachandpur and Sugunu area for a tour and visited many of our VCC & ROLWE churches. Today Khaiboi returned back after two days but Zammang has not yet returned back. We hope Zammang will come back tomorrow.

Tomorrow all our friends and pastors are coming here for a meeting. Many Meitei (predominantly Hindu tribe) pastors are also coming to give us reports about our crusade since several have participated in the follow up program. Therefore I will be sending you a report with progress tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

This morning we again visited the house with the chairman, principal and the lecturers of the Bible College, to which we are thinking of moving the current students. We will try to shift the students as soon as possible as there are a lot of unnecessary complaints every day from the neighbours of the present property. They keep giving troubles to all our students every day. The house that we plan to shift the students to is a good and peaceful place for study. The house owners are really good people, they even want to leave their telephone for the River of Life Bible College. With good water storage for drinking and a bore well (hand pump) for bathing, washing, and cleaning.

The spiritual life conference for the students was wonderful as all our students rededicated themselves for the future ministry. Last night we had a dinner together with all the students.

We are still looking for a suitable place for our permanent Bible College complex. We are focusing on the outskirts of the city, close to the foot hills or a small mountain. As soon as we find a beautiful place we will let you know.

Regarding the land for rice and vegetables we asked the government expert about the outcome of the grains, they will let us know tomorrow, as today the experts were not in the office.

Regarding the bible printing, this afternoon I had a good and lengthy talk with the people. It is now in the printing press but since the press have many other versions for printing, they work very hard. They are doing their best to finish printing. We are sure the printing will be finished very soon.

We love you Papa, and we always keep praying for you. May the good Lord continue to bless you in all your services is our earnest prayers for you always.

The people in Manipur really need you to come back. With you we achieve lots of things for the people and for the state. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Your missionary brother
Minthang Suantak
