Hidden Tribes Reached
Friday, August 05, 2005
Several of our workers returned to our office from the Myanmar Manipur border. They camped for one week in remote areas trying to reach un-reached villages. Tired and exhausted they returned to Imphal, but with great joy shared of their experience.
They shared we have had very little to eat, but we have a great inner joy knowing that many people believed and gave their lives to Jesus. Hidden tribes are hard to find and camping out near any village preaching the gospel is exhausting. Sleepless nights without food or drink were the cost of preaching to these un-reached villagers. However we always felt the overwhelming joy of the Lord. But the harvesting of souls cannot be compared with any hardship endured. In the last six month 1600 souls were added to the kingdom of God. They now come under the banner of River of Life and Vaiphei Christian Church. 6500 people in total and still growing fast.
Our Bible College in Imphal has re-opened. Many young and vibrant students eagerly seek to study the word of God and become future ministers.
We were also able to send one more teacher to our school near the Myanmar border. The number of students wishing to learn is growing fast. It is hoped that all the five schools will produce wonderful students who can become leaders in the future.
