Projects In Africa

Since 2007 Rolwe has assisted Mark Zimbiri in Mogowie, Malawi, Africa to build a clinic. Rolwe/Malawi now has an office and a clinic for aid and medicine distribution. Mid 2010 a Bible College was started by Pastor Mark Zimbiri. Over the 2010 Christmas period these students were send out two by two to ten different village in Malawi and Mozambique. The teams returned to the college on the 5th of January with remarkable stories at how receptive people in un-reached villages were to the Gospel. They planted 17 home churches. Pastor Mark needs our help and support to keep River of Life flourishing in Malawi and Mozambique.

A team is leaving to help Lempu with evangelism amongst the Bodoo people living on both sides of the border between India and Bhutan.

Projects In Pakistan

River of Life received a request to help in North Pakistan just after the floods that devastated many part of Pakistan. It was also an opportunity to tell people about the love of God. Many requested a bible so that they could learn for themselves. River of Life purchased 60 bibles which were distributed by teams in Pakistan. After the success it was decided that since Pakistan has had no Christian cable channel the government and Muslim leaders were approached for permission to have a Christian cable TV channel operating in North Pakistan. After four hours permission was given and again River of Life was contacted for help. After prayer and seeking God we felt yes this is from God we decided to get fully behind this project. Cables were rolled out in four different cities, computers were needed and bought, cameras purchased and on the 21st of December we were telecasting 24 hours each day with the good news of Jesus Christ. Opposition was not far away and in one city the cables were cut stopping the broadcast. This was soon repaired and the police promised to keep their eyes open assuring us it would not happen again. As teams traveled on the buses between between cities they were harassed and we realized that we had to protect our teams from Muslim extremists. A small bus that can seat up to thirteen people was purchased to keep out teams safe from being harassed. The response to the broadcast has been great with people contacting the office and sharing how they love listening to the messages of gospel. Please continue to support this great work in Pakistan.
